We’re back with this year’s 5in5 Series, showcasing five of our favorite projects from the past year, each you can explore in under five minutes. These projects highlight the unique challenges our customers faced and the creative solutions our team brought to life. From rethinking floor plans to planning for the future, each case study shows how thoughtful design can transform how a center works.

Every week, we’ll pull back the curtain and share how our team collaborated with customers to solve problems, unlock new possibilities, and design spaces that not only meet today’s needs but anticipate tomorrow’s.

Here’s a preview of what’s ahead:

Project 1: Comfort, Flow, and Flexibility

A center with many departments needed a way to unify its spaces without losing sight of individual needs. Dispatchers wanted comfort, IT required functionality, and leadership needed offices that worked their way. The challenge was balancing all of it while ensuring a cohesive look and feel. Our team didn’t just stop at the communications room.

Project 2: Enhancing Today, Preparing for Tomorrow

With growth on the horizon, this center had a budget to expand but wasn’t sure where to start. They needed to add an emergency operations center, refresh a dated locker room, and create better comfort for dispatchers. The process from our team positioned their center for long-term success.

Project 3: Solving the Layout Puzzle

Bringing multiple agencies under one roof is never as straightforward as it seems. The center needed a floor plan that gave each agency its own area while still fostering collaboration and ensuring supervisors had clear sightlines, all while tackling many challenges along the way. After testing multiple iterations, we delivered a layout that checked every box.

Project 4: Reimagining Workflow from Every Angle

This center came to us with a floor plan idea that didn’t serve their supervisors or support teams. They needed better sightlines across a large space and offices that flowed seamlessly with the dispatch floor. We reimagined their layout, giving them a big-picture solution that improved daily workflow.

Project 5: Designing for What Comes Next

Planning a new building is one thing, but planning for its future growth is another. This center needed a phased plan that worked within current budgets while ensuring future expansions would blend seamlessly. Our team created a vision that fit their immediate needs while building a roadmap for what’s to come.

All that, in under 5 minutes each.
